We've been to Bali and back. This Indonesian island was almost unbearably gorgeous, and we have returned to Nashville with proof. Bali was actually one of a number of stops we made in Asia on a recent three-week whirlwind of a trip that blew our minds and tantalized our palates; in fact, as much as we loved Bali, Singapore was probably our favorite destination. The modern architecture there was incredible and so fun to see. We're grateful to Victoria for holding things down at the shop in Nashville while we crossed off a number of big items from our travel bucket list. And though we would have liked to bring more souvenirs home for you, we did pick up a number of beautiful Balinese things that now await your perusal in the shop. Among them you'll find a hand-carved copper-colored buddha head, antique batik stamps, a stash of colorful sarongs, piles of lush uncut fabric, and ornate gold masks. Needless to say, we added a splash of island/exotic to the shop just in time for summer. As compulsive travelers, this has always been one of our goals for the shop--to be able to share pieces of our journeys here. This is the first time we have really been able to do this but hopefully not the last. You can see most of these items in our photo gallery below or purchase them in our online shop here. And of course we would love to have you pop in our shop at Marathon Village. Have you visited Asia? If so, did you love it like we did? If not, where do you most want to visit?
